Safety at our worksites is our absolute priority and our permanent obsession. The company can not and must not under any circumstance be an unsafe place for its collaborators. It is our responsibility and at the same time, our main task. Each one of us knows how painful the individual, family and social consequences of an occupational accident can be and we must do everything we can to avoid it.

We must not have any excuse to hide behind. Our only objective must be ZERO ACCIDENTS.

In order to progress, each person must be convinced that he/she is the first person to be responsible for his/her safety and that of co-workers. Each person has the obligation to watch out for and warn of any situation that so may require. He/she also has the right to reject any situations that may put him/her in danger. We have to create a new culture where each one of us looks out for our safety.

Accidents can be deadly and they don’t just happen to others. They are oftentimes the result of a failure to pay attention, a gesture thought to be safe because we have been doing it for years. Our safety results are based above all on the behavior of each and every one of us.

In order to rethink the problem with courage and clarity, we organized in 2008 a European Safety Day to take a look at our behaviors and in doing so, move the entire company forward.
